Omega-3 fatty acids also known as Vitamin F are present in fish called blue and recent research has concluded that it has a high ability to extend life especially people with heart disease.

A study recently published in The Journal Of the American Medical Association, states that these molecules present in the blood at high levels to protect so-called “telomeres” a type of structures that are located on chromosomes and relate directly with cellular aging.

Additionally, a group of researchers from the University of California in U.S. have the belief that such protective effect of this substance may be directly related to the length of the telomeres, which are responsible for marking the biological age of an individual. (more…)
