What is neophobia?. We may not have heard but never neophobia is a rejection of everything new. It is very common in fields such as nutrition and mainly affects children. People who suffer with a mental state of fear and revulsion toward anything new.

Neophobia is an eating disorder suffered by many children. They fear the introduction of new foods to diet and categorically reject. It is true that not all react the same to the new food: some are fancy, others have slight reservations and others do not tolerate. (more…)

Distinguish four different eating disorders:

Anorexia nervous
In anorexia nervous there is fear of becoming fat while actually there is underweight.

Bulimia nervous
If the client has bulimia nervous, she has several binges per week. In order to prevent weight gain ‘offsets’ the client’s binge. This can cut down by vomiting but also in the diet, much exercise or purging. (more…)
