Children may suffer the same kind of arthritis as adults, while children arthritis (Stills disease / Juventil arthritis) is a disease that only affects children. Children Arthritis occurs because of an abnormal response in the body’s immune response, reflected by inflammation in one or more joints and cause pain and swelling.

The cause of rheumatic children is unknown, but sometimes several members in a family affected, suggesting a degree of heritability. It may be that external factors such as a virus infection also play a role. (more…)
