Bacterial vaginosis is a disease or a common infection that affect women. It is not a sexually transmitted disease and is known to occur when there is an abundance of bacteria. It can occur due to smoking, douching and some other lifestyle factors. Everyone has bacteria, but there are good bacteria and bad bacteria, when there is an overgrowth of bad bacteria it can lead to this infection.
