Abnormal female bleeding
Monday, April 30th, 2012Monthly women due to their menstrual cycle in a period ranging from puberty to menopause has bleeding layers due to displacement of the uterus that is shed and regenerated every month. Normally this cycle occurs every 28 days, but there may be women who have them before 28 or after, not resulting pathology, it is called irregular.
What it is pathological are bleeding abundant and of causes unrelated to the menstruation.
From 6 to 7 out of ten women have bleeding abnormal uterine at some point in their lives. These are usually caused by polyps, cysts or fibroids among other possible causes. (more…)
