Qualities of chocolate for health

We all like chocolate, may be the black semi-sweet, milk or white is always welcome. Well, now there is one more reason to eat it by consciousness. Recent research, published in the journal BMC Medicine, have concluded that eating black chocolate helps reduce blood pressure in people with hypertension.

In reaching this conclusion, the researchers conducted a combination of the result obtained in 15 studies on the effects caused by the flavonoids on blood pressure and is the dilatation of blood vessels.

It should be noted that the study refers to the dark chocolate, one that has a high cocoa content and has a bitter taste. Therefore they should not be confused with those who are high in additives, milk and sugar, as these do not cause the same effect. (more…)

Depression in men

According to an American study, 70% of men who suffer from depression do not know. What is the root of this problem so common? Symptoms of depression are well known. Among the nine most important, at least five were diagnosed as having started in a period of more than fifteen days:

  2. Loss of interest or pleasure in any activity;
  3. Loss of appetite, and reduction of 5% of body weight in the last month
  4. Disruptions in sleep;
  5. Nervous agitation;
  6. Excessive tiredness;
  7. Inappropriate guilt;
  8. Difficulty concentrating;
  9. Ideas rough and pessimistic thoughts related to death or suicide.
