To date, the preferred technique is the Lasik which has been developing a more effective way.
This promises better results, in fact, than the traditional method in which the second eye was operated one month after the first, the new Lasik, corrects visual defects in both eyes in one operative session.
The merit is all the excimer laser precisely and very little traumatizing, the surgeon raised a flap of the cornea, the laser vaporizes the tissue beneath the cornea itself a modified form enough to make the images come into focus on the retina. Then the flap is repositioned and then repair it without damage.
Simultaneity solves the problems of dual action and prevents the patient to wear glasses with a lens and a neutral between corrective action and another.

In any case even if the benefits increase, even with the new technique is the risk of traditional complications:
• the intervention is challenging and then exposed to surgical errors

• The flap can be cut or repositioned on the cornea improperly, requiring repeat surgery
• not following the rules of hygiene, can develop infections that make the post-operative long and tedious
It must be noted that after surgery the night vision may be obscured by halos; the problem, which fades with time, is born because at night the pupil dilates very well treated by the laser the cornea so the edges the image is brought into focus by making vague contours.
